Day 1 Fall Wellness Week Highlights
Today we kicked off Bauman Fall Wellness Week with a full day of enriching and rejuvenating sessions. Here are DAY 1 Highlights:
Holistic Nutrition Consultant, Neeta Merchant, led us through some laughter yoga, meditation and guided relaxation to ignite our higher energy and awaken a more joyful mental attitude.
Ed Bauman, Ph.D. walked us through how to implement foundational wellness practices to support personal and community resilience and recovery, particularly during the Covid pandemic.
Arts and Wellness Educator and Character and Leadership Development Facilitator, Christina Wright, shared some evidence based research on how engagement in the arts relieves stress, encourages creative thinking, increases brain plasticity, lowers rates of loneliness, depression and anxiety and is conducive to greater life satisfaction.
Vidhu Singh, Ph.D., a Freelance Dramaturg, Theater Director and Educator, opened a space for sharing positive stories of our ancestors to honor them and call forth their strength to help us deal with our present reality.
Sandy Hoover, Founder and Product Architect at mixmi.app shared examples of how the best developments in music are increasing connectiveness and reminding us of our shared identity.
Join us tomorrow for the following sessions:
Our esteemed panel of clinicians and researchers will assist us in understanding the risks we face, and options we have to stay well during the ongoing pandemic crisis, aggravated by politics, economy, and conflicting ideologies. Bring your questions about vaccines, variants, masks, transmissibility, wellness practices and allopathic ways to build resilience and minimize risk of acute, and long-haul infection and co-morbidities.
Ed Bauman, Ph.D. and Founder of Bauman Wellness will present an integrative model to explain the roots of mental illness and the path toward mental wellness using food, herbs, nutrition, and mindfulness — plus social and spiritual support.
Step into Autumn with Lauren Bryson, Holistic Nutritionist and Em Luisi, Holistic Nutrition Consultant & Energy Practitioner who will share how to eat seasonally and prepare one of their favorite fall recipes.
Grab some popcorn and join Arts and Wellness Educator, Christina Wright, for a film night! Participants will view clips from the movie Eat, Pray, Love (2010) and engage in wellness activities inspired by the film's story, focused on letting go, honoring our authenticity and embracing transformation.
